Hope you all had a great Easter!
I got to spend some time with my girlfriend this weekend which was awesome, though I got back and begun rigging only to see I hadn't uploaded the model!! :O
So I'm gonna show you what I did on days 3 and 4, (blocking and detailing respectfully)
On day 3 I simply blocked out the character and scythe, but on day 4 the fun really started and I detailed the entire character.
She is quite simple, but I want the detailing to be done in texturing, not so much to save on poly count, but as this is a young girl she needs to be smooth and graceful, and that is a lot harder to acieve with a lot of detail.
You may notice that she currently has no tear ducts or hair, part of this 'reapers' ability,involves her eyes bleeding, so I'll get to these in the dynamics stage.
The scythe was an interesting thing to create, my idea behind this design was "nun-chuck scythe" that can also change into a dual blade scythe, dual blade sword, polearm, and dual swords/scythes.
It's also going to be able to clip to her forearm with splayed blades in a wolverine style.
Kinda like the swiss army knife of scythes :P
So instead of images, you get a P3D preview!
So I now have the task of completing a rig in 5 days!
That's such a long time, but I have to take that long according to the course outline, so I suppose I'll just make it a really really epic rig and make a post at the end of the week :)
I'm hoping I can give you guys the files, but still working on that one, I may not be allowed to distribute them :(
